Charlotte-based classical composer’s piece takes inspiration from a new book by long-time Charlotte-based organizer Si Kahn, Creative Community Organizing.

• Community Organizing in Song – led by Si Kahn
Nationally renowned songwriter Si Kahn began organizing as a participant in the Southern Civil Rights Movement in 1965, and went on to found Grassroots Leadership to work for labor rights, community issues, and social justice.
