Grassroots Leadership welcomes Criminal Justice Program Associate, Lewis Conway, Jr.!

Grassroots Leadership is pleased to welcome Lewis Conway, Jr. to our team as our Criminal Justice Program Associate for the summer 2016! Lewis will be supporting our local criminal justice work, including outreach and planning for our upcoming Texas Advocates for Justice organizing training in Austin.

Lewis is an activist, advocate, author, and entrepreneur who spent 2,095 days in Texas prisons and 4,012 days on parole. He's passionate about breaking down barriers to reentry and enhancing opportunities for those who have experienced the sting of incarceration.  

Lewis currently works with several community organizations, including Survive to Thrive, St. James Prison Ministry, Second Chance Democrats, and Reentry Advocacy Project.
