(AUSTIN, Texas) — This week, Hilda, a woman who came to the U.S. fleeing violence in Guatemala, will announce that she has taken sanctuary with an Austin congregation at Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Local clergy and community members will join a press conference to talk about how the sanctuary movement has been growing in Austin and why immigration officials must #LetHildaStay.
