About us:
ICE Fuera De Austin is a community group made up of immigrants, many of whom are undocumented, who fight to keep families who live under the threat of deportation together.
We work at the intersection of immigration and the criminal justice system. We believe no one should be deported, and the only fight that can be won is the one made in the community.

Travis County Court Accompaniment:
Paying tickets/fines, attending court, and asking general questions about a case or a charge can intimidate many people, especially those impacted by immigration issues. ICE Fuera de Austin members can accompany immigrants to resolve these issues in Travis County Court.
Travis County/Del Valle Jail Visits:
Police target communities of color at higher rates than their white counterparts. Our local jail requires 'Government-issued Identification' to visit folks in jail and to create accounts with private companies to make calls to folks in jail. This is inaccessible for many, and ICE Fuera de Austin members can visit immigrants detained in prison and communicate their needs.
Deportation Defense:
ICE Fuera de Austin works with individuals and families to fight harmful immigration enforcement practices.
We support families and community members facing deportation by organizing grassroots campaigns to support their deportation fight. We have seen that when it is an entire community, instead of just an attorney putting pressure on ICE, WE CAN STOP deportations.
Know Your Rights:
Know Your Rights are interactive presentations that lets the community know their rights regardless of immigration status. We can go to your church, your school, or your home.
